Cuba Monument comes out of cycling around Cuba (which has a lot of interesting public monuments) and encountering a lot of patinated, discarded debris. I grabbed the rusty metal ring, on a water stop. I bring cloth tape in the primary colours when I travel and make smaller works with tape pieces cut in shapes to respond to the found object.
