dutch painting

In about 2000, a neighbour who was an AUARTS (then ACAD) grad, gave me some paint tubes her Dutch aunts and uncles had given her. They were very old tubes with decrepit caps and labels, and specifically-named colours often in Dutch. After a while I worried that they would harden so I designed this picture to use them. The other aspect that is Dutch, is the relation to Vincent, who in my view painted landscapes somewhat stridently at times, and used a broad palette.
