Untitled (Blue, etc., squares, box flaps)

I was interested in the shapes of boxes once deconstructed, the object that remained being essentially a rectangle but with some profiles and sometimes, enclosed openings. These shapes seemed a good format for combining with abstraction using coloured squares on a rectangular support like this 24″ canvas stretcher. Still an object but much more, a painting. At time of writing I have not named it nor decided its orientation (I believe it was with flaps to the left but vertical orientations also “work”).
