Wheel Invention (Night and Day)

Another piece that progressed from conspicuous shapes painted in oil with a large brush, to a work where objects and cut-out shapes try to cooperate with one another.  Unless in a gallery, a painting with paint alone arguably plays with objects set on the side table below and around it. But in Night and Day the objects, the painted shapes, and the support, all have certain equivalencies and work to set up a whole.
