It is a hard edge abstract painting, period. The picture’s colours are hard to photograph. The light space is white oil paint applied with an ordinary brush; same, the mustard coloured space. The warm orange and cool cerulean spaces are painted with a large brush for effect of profiles in space. The colours, shapes and brush/profile treatment (or no) conflict, leaving one wondering what is in front of what.
