I found this car part in an old station wagon, its the door to a floor compartment. The yellow dot was made by me from a fibreglass repair kit, often used to patch holes in rusty cars. I liken it to a planet in the sky, a growth, a formal abstract painting. It’s a visual play on the grid, the hole in the floor compartment cover, the bullet holes, the decay, etc.
